Dennis Price
Chasing the Fourth Horse
A compelling story of intrigue in an age of terrorism, Price uses facts of science, religion, politics, theology, and culture to form a convincing narrative of the future that explores weakness in our current situation.
The story contains action-adventure with a tinge of romance to address a problem created by the politics of science and religion as they interact with the pragmatic issue of nuclear waste. The dramatic development of a real possibility into an action-adventure is worth the read on many levels. The characters are as real as a neighbor and act in both heroic and ordinary ways to avert a catastrophic disaster. Chasing the Fourth Horse becomes more than recreational reading as it probes a thought-provoking problem of massive amounts of nuclear waste currently stored above ground in the US and whether it is possible to store it underground. Real information is mixed into the story in an accessible manner so that the book is informative as well as entertaining. Very helpful “Behind the Scenes” information is given in the back of the novel for further information from a balance of sources.
I enjoyed the book and highly recommend it!
